This evening after arriving back at our motel from our visit with our Daughter, I was outside walking around the motel thinking, and having some "alone" time when I came across this beautiful turtle dove. She just sat there, looked at me, giving no indication that she was going to fly away. I was able to get really close to her so I grabbed a photo. Typically the ones I have seen are more nervous, and tend to fly away rather quickly. Perhaps it is the area, the noise of the highway nearby, and the constant flow of people in and out of the motel that makes her more relaxed. In any event, I took it as a symbol, a token of love. We had the most enjoyable visit with our Daughter Stefanie today. We arrived early, about 9:00am, and after about a half hour wait she walked in. Oh what joy it was to wrap my arms around her, to hug her, and of course the tears of joy. It has been a long two and a half years, and it is looking very positive for her return home mid year. We had so much to share, many laughs, and we played some games, and of course had a photo taken, which I will share with you all once we receive it. Another visit tomorrow, and then we head back home with our hearts refreshed, knowing our Baby is doing alright. What a great way to end an already awesome vacation. We are going out to look for a nice place to eat, so I wanted to post a bit early, and then I will be back later to check out your postings and comment some more. Such a precious message to go with a wonderful picture, Rick. I do know what you're talking about. Our son lives in Calif. and is coming for Thanksgiving. I am already getting ready for his visit. I'm glad your daughter is going to come home. I am happy for you, friend. She is lucky to have such great parents and the great relationship with you too.
