It was a beautiful morning, the sun was shining, and I really liked how this large tree looked in Mom's back yard, covered with its climbing vines. I knew it was going to be a great day for our drive into Pittsburgh. We got up, spend a few hours with Mom, ate breakfast, began packing, and did some laundry. Mom made arrangements to go into work at 11:00 instead of 9:00am so she could spend a little more time with us before we took off. She hates good-byes, so she decided to say good-bye a little early and went into work sooner than she had planned. We finished up and were on the road by 1:30pm. After stopping for gas, we finally hit the turnpike about 2:00pm. The traveling went well, and finally arrived in Pittsburgh about 5:30pm, checked in and unpacked. I do not need to tell you how excited we are for tomorrow morning when we will see our Daughter. Its been two and a half years, so it is going to be a great visit. And I have internet access in my room, no more McDonalds. I can now begin to catch up. I'm sitting here on the computer, my Wife is reclining in her chair with her Kindle, and my Son is watching TV. Oh, and the puppies are relaxing on the bed. You would think they own the place, scolding everyone that makes noise outside the motel. I hope you are all doing well.
This is beautiful Rick and I so hope you enjoy your visit with your daughter here. The weather is going to be perfect and sounds like you, your wife, and your son (puppies too) are settled in nicely.
Sounds like you all are enjoying a little relaxation. As usual I am behind in viewing and commenting so shall got back a few days to see what happened before today!
Great to hear you're having some good times visiting and hope it continues with your daughter tomorrow! I can't imagine not seeing mine for that long. I'd be as excited as Christmas morning! Have fun!
Have an awesome visit with your daughter... :) Sounds like things are going great so far.. those puppies take the cake dont they.....
Get a good sleep tonight... :)
I've been looking up alot lately too! And I've been thinking about doing a similar shot when I get to Vermont to visit my Mom this weekend. So glad you having such a nice time with your family, and I'm looking forward to hearing about your visit with your Daughter...Enjoy your time with her!
To me it is all your writing today that is the best part !! You must be so excited about seeing your daughter after all this time !!! Have a wonderful day all together !!! Photo good too !!!
Wonderful black and white shot, Rick. Thank you for including us in your day. I can see the picture of you all resting happily in the hotel, even your pups. Do you have any trouble finding places that let you take them in?? We've always had an RV and don't now, so I wonder if travelling is out of our future because of our fur children. =( That would make me sad!
Love the POV and the B&W!! I am so excited for you and your family...I feel like I am reading a novel and looking forward to the next chapter! Mother-in-law is still working??? WOW impressive! By the way...watch out for those climbing vines...they will eventually kill a tree. :-(
@mary1440 Mary, if you google search for Pet Friendly motels, you will find them. Red Roof Inn (not the most luxurious) but they are pet friendly. It all depends on the area you want to go.
Get a good sleep tonight... :)
