A Gray Calm by digitalrn

A Gray Calm

As my Wife and I were leaving work this afternoon, the sky looked awesome, The sky was filled with gray, and it made everything appear so calm and peaceful. I liked how you can just see the rood of the farm house over the hill. Before they cut the corn, it was invisible.
I can almost "feel" the winter coming on this photo, Rick. Pretty soon the "white stuff" will lay a blanket over all of it. Or do you get much snow where you're at? Great photo. Love the POV and composition of farmland.

@karenann We do have some nasty storms once and awhile, but I would say normally we get anywhere from 12 - 36 inches of snow a year, at a time depending on how lucky we are.

Beautiful fall scene, lovely colors and textures here...I often look way across a field and see houses or barns, adjoining fields, horses etc. never tried to take a picture as my pocket size Kodak pobably doesn't bring it close enough to make it out..
must remember to take the canon along for those kind of shots.
