Well, here on the Eastern Coast of PA we woke to snow. Here with us it started around 9:00am this morning, and now it's about 8:30pm, and I believe it is about over, at least I hope so. We got about 6 - 8 inches of heavy wet snow. This is a view of the corner of our neighbor's deck and his tree which surprisingly held up fairly well in spite of the heavy snow. Everything looked beautiful, but as we did our running around this morning, we were chilled to the bone till we returned home, covered in wet snow. They are expecting some freezing temperatures tonight wth icy roadways. It was strange seeing the snowplows out on the roads this evening. It's just too early in the season. My goodness, I'm tired of it already LOL.
I feel your pain Rick. Got socked with lots of wet heavy slushy rain here too. Too bad you had to go out and run errands. I stayed inside except for letting the dogs out. At least you got this beautiful picture out if he day. The red leaves and bird house look so pretty covered with snow.
Oops - I did let our snow get away and over to you, didn't I... So sorry, but it is VERY beautiful. Wonderful lighting in your shot. :) I'll try harder to keep it here next time. We have two more storms heading our way toward the middle and end of this week. :)
Instant fave! I love the snow on the red leaves - just perfect for a photo, but a good indication it is snowing way too early! Beautiful composition on the photo, Rick!
A friend in Jersey told me that the last time it snowed as early as October was during the Civil War! It really was so strange to see patches of snow on the ground while the kids went around to collect treats! This is a lovely shot. The white snow and red leaves- simply beautiful!
OMG, what a beautiful scene! The red on the white backdrop with the flakes falling is awesome. Now as for having to actually DEAL with the effects of the snow ... well that's another story. Try to stay warm, Rick!
The weather is very strange these days and so weird to have snow so, so early... It however makes for some gorgeous shots and this one is simply beautiful... a perfect Christmas card scene.... and for me a fav...
Now on the other hand dealing with the beautiful white stuff is another story.... ♥
