I was out briefly after work taking a few photos, and now that the days are shorter, it is definitely more difficult to get your daily photo outdoors, especially if you work till 4pm. The sun had already gone down, but there was still enough light to capture a few photos. I tried capturing the ripples in the water by throwing a stone into the creek, and liked how they turned out. After playing around with them in picnik, I put together this collage. After looking at it, I then decided that I could use this as a speaking point in my dementia class at work. I try to impress upon the class participants that they have the power to impact change, to make a difference in the lives of those they care for, those diagnosed with dementia, and this will serve as a good visual aid.
This is awesome, Rick, and what a bonus that you can use it at work too. I believe this is true, and that it is actually why we are put on this earth. Each person has a gift and a responsibility to share it. You actually remind me of this every day, by example.
This is a perfect illustration of what one person can do! Nice collage Rick and your students are going to remember your lesson every time they think of a stone hitting the water.
I like that .... I think that's my next school assembly talk sorted!!!! Thank you! It could be used in church too .... what a simple and effective message.
@elizabeth I have used the dropping a pebble into water activity for prayer stations on Trade Justice - I'll try to get a shot of the set up I use if I run out light today.
@adobewaters Adobe, I am an RN manager, and I work with dementia residents, so I am in charge of all dementia education, and my classes focus on dementia care.
I love the background colors you chose and the angle of the photo on the left. This really goes together well and makes an impact. Great that you can use it at work. This looks so professional, maybe you can make some cash on the side selling motivational posters.
so beautiful !!!
well done !!!
