I did not get out today to take photos, so I decided to do somethinbg a little different. This is my evening snack. I love clementines, so I thought I would include a photo of of my snack, and make it a part of my photo journal. Since I have been on my monthly weight loss challenge, I have been eating more fruit, and this is by far, a favorite. As an update on my challenge, my goal was to lose 50 pounds by the end of the year, and I am happy to say, I did reach my goal. I have decided to continue the challenge for at least another month or so, as I still want to lose another fifteen to twenty pounds. I'll keep you posted. My knees and back are feeling the difference.
Okay . . we are definitely on a roll. No, I didn't take a photo of one of these wonderful fruits. But, I just ate two of them before I uploaded tonight! There's that "great minds" thing again. Great shot! :)
Amazing Rick and Congratulations. You have obviously done it the right way and are able to keep it off. And this picture is making me want a clementine now.
So happy for you Rick. Great weight loss - not only your knees and back with thank you , but your heart will too. Keep it up - I need to start eating more veggies and fruit myself. :)
You now Rick I was thinking about that today and was wondering how you're making out. didn't want to ask .so I was pleased to read your post today..congratulations 50 pounds is a lot of weight and like you said your you said you feel so much better for it.
Nice shot- it's encouraging me to try to eat more fruit too- although I usually have some at breakfast each day. My favorites: strawberries and bananas! I like peaches and nectarines too.
Congratulations on your weight loss, Rick! I love this pic! The clementine is so yummy looking, but I'm faving it for your hands. It's a wonderful pic of caring hands! :0)
Congrats!!! Yesterday, I tried to buy clementines and my Safeway was out!!! They are my favorite, too! Looks so yummy and I am so impressed with you reaching your goal! Way to go!
Great job you lost all those pounds. Wish I could lose half of that amount but notwithstanding all the brisk walks and controlling the intake of food I can't lose a single ounce. Lovely shot, Rick. My orange has produced at least a 1000 oranges and have been eating so many oranges daily that I cannot count them.
Well done Rick , it must be very rewarding feeling the befit of loosing weight. as for your picture the orange against the black back ground is very good
Congratulations on meeting your goal!! I just love the clementines. I eat two of them every day here at work. I really need to work on stopping drinking pop again. If I could do that I think I'd be all set.
You are a wonder, Rick. Just quietly going about your day and achieving your goal. Congratulations. Are you going to do a Before and After picture? The color and detail in this picture is terrific.
Can you believe that something so simple can turn out to be such a great picture! Well done - on the picture and your weight loss. I admire you! I used to do half marathons, but my work and routine changed dramatically. I'm sitting the whole day and picked up weight. We are exercising again but when I get on the scale, it seems as if all the effort is just not reflected in the digits grinning back at me!!!! Well done to you indeed!!!
One of the best things to help control our sugar intake is to eat fresh fruit. After a meal works the best. It calms the cravings for more sugar. The perspective here is that orange is in our hands, too.
What an incredible weight loss. What is your secret? Nice photo, too, because it draws me into the subject and makes me feel like I am the one with the clementine in my hands.
Good shot and super-congratulations, Rick!!!
Clare and I love clementines! We love weight loss, too! Clare did it with exercise & diet (recommended). I did it with emergency surgery (*not* recommended). We *maintain* the loss through exercise and diet (recommended, of course!).
good for you Rick ~ that's a wonderful accomplishment! I also have oranges or clementines in the evening ~ my dad used to do the same years ago when I was growing up, and I've continued doing it ever since ~ they do make a great snack! keep up the good work! =)
congrats on your weight loss
