I was an extra proud Dad today. My Daughter is an in-home care provider, and on Easter morning one of her clients passed away. During the time my Daughter cared for this client, she would frequently call me to ask me questions related to her care and special treatments, and as a nurse I would give her my suggestions. The client's Daughters apparently grew fond of the fact that my Daughter had me as a resource. Well today was this client's funeral, and of course my Daughter attended, but I was also invited to attend, as well as the meal afterwards. The family wanted to meet the person behind the scenes. It was a delightful family, and they couldn't stop telling me how special Stefanie is, and how much they love her. They told me they were so very impressed with her knowledge and compassion which was demonstrated in everything she did for their Mother. Oh yeah, my chest was a popping. I too am proud of how well she is doing, and for the big heart she has when it comes to caring for the elderly. So it was a busy day today, but a good one. I didn't get too much painting done, but I will be working late tonight. Must catch up. Josie wants it done by the week's end.
You must nearly be bursting with pride Rick & no wonder....well done Stephanie!! She has come up trumps over the last year & is a very special girl!!! Wonderful photo of this graveyard too!
That is such a special relationship. I know you are proud! We need more quality, caring people in our field! Amen for raising your daughter to be a wonderful person!
What a lovely tribute. And how thoughtful of the family to extend their gratitude while they were grieving. It sounds like your daughter has found the right path.
