Baby Two Has Left The Nest by digitalrn

Baby Two Has Left The Nest

I took the Boys outside this morning, and as I'm standing on the porch I hear the Robin chirping up a storm, and then I see her sitting on our fence. Oh no, the Baby must have flown from the nest, and perhaps is in the yard or garden somewhere, and she is scolding the Boys. If the baby is on the ground, one of the Boys may find her and hurt her. I happen to look up, and that is when I spotted the Baby sitting on the beam in the center of the patio. Momma is on the fence trying to convince the Baby to fly over to her. There is still one more remaining baby in the nest. It was still there this evening. This Momma has taken one baby at a time from the nest. I guess it's easier to keep her eyes on one at a time. Isn't nature wonderful?
Awwww, I saw one of my robin babies in the yard today being fed by Mom or Dad. I was hay to see that they were OK.

Nature is pretty cool... and it's great you get to witness this too. Our birds have nests but they're nestled deep in the pine tree so they're well guarded from the hawks.

What wonderful captures, Rick. I never knew that a baby robin is black. I had to see the enlarged photo to have a closer looks. Great job!

Nature IS wonderful! I was just thinking that today, as I mowed the lawn. And the mockingbirds did their brave bombing raids in front of the mower to get their prey, the hawk circled over head, the bugs were all over the place..I hate to cut their yard out from under them..but I guess I have no choice. It was so long~!
