Pieces Of Nostalgia

I pulled out a few items from my Grandparent's past. My Grandmother's maiden name was Beck, married name, Schies, thus the silk scarf in the background with the letter "B" on it prior to them being married. That is a photo pin of my Grandmother that my Grandfather wore on his U.S. Army uniform while away serving our Country in WW1. The blue manual was my Grandfather's study book of all the Infantry drill regulations. Also in this photo is a broach that belonged to my Grandmother, and a pen from her writing box. Back then they did a lot of letter writing when they were apart. Oh and I also threw in an old TUMS tin that was in the box.
Lovely collection and interesting description.

Such wonderful and cherished pieces of your family history, Rick. You've created a touching composition and photographed it beautifully. I especially like the pin with your grandmother's portrait that your grandfather wore on his uniform...that is just so sweet. I'm glad that he made it home safely from that terrible war so that their love story could continue.

my first thought was "TUMS came in tins??" I love this collection though... looks like you have some of the more intimate things that belonged to your grandparents since they seem to be part of who they were.
