Nostalgic Eating

This old style diner, Kumm Esse has been in my hometown since I remember, and I am 59. It's one of those old trailer diners, and it is now up for sale. There was talk of moving it to another location due to limited parking, but so far, at the asking price of $950,000, there has been little interest. My hope is that someone local buys it and keep it going in the old fashion way. I always hate to see familiar landmarks disappear.
Except for the cars it looks like right out of the 50's. Nice processing to complete the look.

What a nostalgic retro image without the cars it could have been out of the 50s - love the editing you have applied to enhance this !

Great processing and framing, Rick. Something like that becomes part of the landscape and is a pity to lose.

Wow- that's quite an asking price! You've captured it well, and hopefully someone will see the same value in it that you do.

I hate that all our nostalgic places are getting torn down. I hope someone saves this place! At least you will now have it in this great photo...in case it disappears. I did that with our "Dari Dip" drive up frozen custard stand place...I took pics of it a while back. It was abandoned...sign rusted. As it sat by Highway 41. A few months later, I heard it got torn down.

I love the name..I know what it means..in German you would say Komm Essen. I hope with you that someone will reopen it.
