The snow geese have returned to the wildlife preserve. Josie and I drove out to the preserve this morning after breakfast to see the snow geese. Everything was parked full so it was impossible to find a good spot to get photos. I managed to get a few shots of the smaller group, but on the other side where you couldn't access, it was packed with them.
This reminds me of the area in northern Arkansas where a herd of elk frequently show up. Can hardly get across the street when they appear in the field. Would love to see snow geese.
@maggiemae I have a shot of a small grouping. I am going to go back out tomorrow to see if I can get a larger shot, and hopefully a shot of how they take off in large flocks
@maggiemae@terryliv They are not much different than the others, but they are not always here, so when they make their way back, the bird enthusiasts gather to take a look. I am always amazed at the size of the flocks more than anything else
Must be an awesome sight. Jeff says he saw a Bluebird this morning and we've been hearing the Red Shouldered Hawk for a few days- but that's as exciting as it will get around here!
