A Project For My Baby Girl by digitalrn

A Project For My Baby Girl

Our Daughter Stef and her fiancé Pete as most of you know is expecting a little girl. The nursery is coming along nicely, so a few weeks ago Stef say's, "Dad, I want a tree in the corner of Scarlett's room, right behind where her crib is going to be." Oh, you want me to do what? "I thought you could paint one for me, or for your Grand Daughter." Ah ha. So, I am not an artist, and that meant, how in the world am I going to paint a tree? She told me "I don't want a typical tree, but rather one that is more fun looking, just a cute looking tree, all white, and then I want to hang a few photos in the tree. After printing out a few pics, I decided to give it a try. Here you can see me finishing up the chalk sketch. Chalk really works nicely because if you mess up you just wipe off the chalk, and then when you are ready you can just paint right over the chalk, and add lib as you go. A Dad has a hard time saying no to his little girl.
AWW! you are a great dad! I love this image and all it represents! I think you are an artist too to go ahead so willingly! I want to see it when it is done! PS thanks for the painting tip too! ;~}

Ha you're becoming quite the artist now. You must be exciting as much as the rest of them. Parents are always ready to anything and everything for their children, no matter how old they are.

Haha- you think it's hard to say "no" to your little girl? Just wait until that granddaughter of yours asks for something!! The tree looks great- I think you underestimate your abilities as an artist!
