Scanography

May 16th, 2012
I found this inspiring idea on Flickr, it's about scanography, where you place items (or/and your face) on a flatbed scanner, and use the scanner to capture a 'photo'. It gives some very interesting perspectives, and I will sure give this a try as well!

Never heard of that!!! Funny - I have a scanner about 10 feet away from me.... May have to try it! :)

These are beautiful

I've tried something similar, but beware scanners are incredibly hard to get clean when you want to. I use my scanner for old photos and every smudge and speck of dirt shows. It took me forever to get my scanner back in shape after doing this

@herussell And what if you place a transparent (yet firm) sheet...like for an overhead projector, on the glass plate of the scanner..... Just a thought ;-)

@janmaki sure hahaha I do happen to have a flatbed :-P
May 16th, 2012
@janmaki Or should I start calling it a flatbutt-scanner? Although I doubt the screen will be large enough.... ;-)
May 16th, 2012
@elke hahaha if in doubt, you need to try it & post the results. I promise to take a look :)
