NBC's coverage of the 70th anniversary of D-Day included a video about Maurice Soloman, 294th Joint Assault Signal Company, who took his family camera with him to war. He took pictures on D-Day itself, and on the days following when thousands of men and 7,000 tons of equipment per day came ashore for the liberation of Europe. Some of the things that Maurice said about his photography really resonated with me... and I'm going to do my best to remember them on those days when it's really hard to get out to take photos for the day. You never know whether or not a shot you take might become a piece of history
