Has any of you guys got any tips for my photos? You are all welcome to look at them i would appreciate it. It's just that i am a bit new to 365 project and i was wondering if any of you have any tips you could lend me please:) Thanks guys. :)
1. Learn how to use all the settings on your camera.
2. Discover depth of field, perspective, colours, tone, texture and treatments.
3. Participate in the site selflessly, offer comments to others, follow those you like, you might learn from them, and they might follow you back.
4. Don't post threads which are blatant recruitment adverts.
This is a really friendly site and you can get lots of encouragement and advice and support. You do need to put in the ground work, though.
You might want to look out for the next Camera Settings Challenge (and browse the older once to learn), which is posted under "Themes & Competitions". They are great practice when you don't know how to properly use your camera settings.
@mollytrudge - Hi Molly, welcome to the 365, you will find that there are many wonderful people here who will offer guidance, support and friendship. While I do not agree entirely with @peadar he does offer some sage advice ir regards to participation. If you are a regular visitor to the pages of others, then often they will return the favour.
However, Pad's tip of learning all the functions and settings on your camera can come with time and experimentation. I have been taking photographs for this site for some time now, and while I know how my camera operates, I am still learning and I tend to stick to my favourite setting and let the camera do a fair chunk of the hard work. I mean why buy a Dog and do all the barking yourself?
And I am a firm believer in self promotion, this is a fun site and we need cheeky people who can make me smile from time to time, one doesn't need to be serious all of the time, it should be fun. I mean if you can't promote your page, who will do this for you?
My advice - Read lots, join in, take heaps of photo's, put yourself out there and never give up. Try every style, take the same shot using different camera settings and take notes in a book so you remember what worked well. Remember that everyone has something to say so take the advice you want but do what really makes you happy and post pictures that please your eyes. It's all for fun in the end :D
