Help! Name this photo! :)

Hello fello 365'ers!

http://allyssaallorphoto.smugmug.com/Other/4x5photo/SCAN0026wm/1117045921_gjeYt-L.jpg

I'm entering this photo in a local art competition this summer, and I need to have a title for it. I am absolutely horrible at writing titles, so I thought I'd turn to my friends at 365! :)

Some info on the picture:
I shot it with 4x5 black and white film, in downtown Grand Rapids, Michigan. It was Fall, getting close to Winter time.

Thanks so much, guys! This really means a lot to me! :D

First word that came to me was 'The Descent'
wonderful shot btw, best of luck.

Grand Stairway?

SImply Riverside - sometimes I just give up and call it what it is roughly... Or a lot...

First thing I thought was Stairway to Heaven.

"Don't trip ..."

I thought Stairway to Heaven too.

Stairway to heaven was my first idea, too.
Untitled is always nice ;).
Or: "The road not taken"
Or: "Going down the only road I've ever known"
Or just "Going down"...
None of these are very creative... maybe I'll come up with something better...

@allyssaallor The first thing I notice is the unnatural white of the railing, so I would name it something like "Wet Paint"

Also, and this is totally a personal observation, but your watermark is placed in a way that detracts me from the big picture of this photograph. My eyes follow the lines of the stairs down, then to the water, then around that curve where your name is, and then I just stop. I don't know if you can resize/re-place it, but I would suggest for a contest that it be smaller and off to the corner.

Cheers, and great shot!

I'd called it "rumbling down"... the picture feels like falling to me.

How about -

"Oooh... *tut tut* Should have a rail on both sides! I'd better report back to my superiors at the Council..."

Simpler times...

Watch Your Step.

I love quotes to name a pic - what about:

'Two things are bad for the heart - running up stairs and running down people.' - Bernard Baruch

@edpartridge - ha! exactly what I thought!
April 26th, 2011
Take the stair way home (as opposed to the "long way" as in the song).

Descent

In less retarded news: there's a descent, a safety rail, but you can't see where it's going. So I'm getting vibes of "a safe descent into the unknown" but that's not very succinct...

Also I second @sdpace 's view on your watermark. I'd remove it entirely.

Vertigo

@eyebrows @sdpace
Oh, I totally agree about the watermark. I actually put that on there when I was first starting to figure out how to actually do watermarks, so I didn't know what I was doing. XD I plan to take that off before I exhibit it, of course!

Thanks for all of your ideas, guys! They've been really helpful. :) I'll post what I finally decide!

I was going to suggest 'Watch your step' too but I like Chris's Vertigo suggestion.

"What lies below?" I agree about the watermark...maybe put it on the large rock, or somewhere it isn't in the forefront but is still on there?
April 26th, 2011
Twists and Turns . . . but Vertigo is pretty darn good!
April 27th, 2011
"Downward spiral"
April 27th, 2011
'Step down among the fallen leaves'
April 27th, 2011
"Down and out..."
