I know that I am kinda knew to this whole 365 project thing, I am just behind by four pictures and I'm getting used to it.
But when I follow someone I see that they can have sooooooooooo many followers and I hardly have any! I was just wondering if there is something I have to change about my photography or anything to get more? Just looking for some tips! Thanks!
It just kind of happens. I had half as many a month ago. I stopped keeping track and then next thing I knew I had over 100. Post on discussions, comment on other people's shots, and keep doing what you're doing. Try not to focus on it.
I, too, was impressed with your photography; you've got talent and give your compositions some thought. I'm happy to follow your work.
While it's nice to get a mention in reply to a comment, most people enjoy having their work seen and comments under their photos. I enjoy hearing from someone new, and that draws me to look at their work also. You were smart to start a thread; this, too, will likely get you some well-deserved notice. Good luck!
I found out when I stopped caring or trying too hard, it just happened. Keep commenting, following, but most of all HAVE FUN WITH YOUR PHOTOGRAPHY! I was on this project for 3 or more months before I had more than a few followers and most of them were related. :)
Just keep doing what you are doing and you will have all kinds of people before long. Just don't mess it up like I did and quit the project for a few months......... it's hard to get back into it again.... BUT I am back with a vengeance now and a new found dedication to the project.... I hope I can really hold myself to my promise of not leaving again..... BTW... following you now, I love your work =)
But you're only following a few people yourself... get involved, generate discussions, comment frequently and it will happen gradually... as long as your pictures are good enough, people will reciprocate.
Get involved and comment! Peruse photos on 365 and follow people you enjoy for either their photos or personality. It will happen (: A word of warning though, once you hit over 100 Followers, it's really hard (and somewhat disheartening) to not be able to keep up with everyone's photos. There just aren't enough hours in the day
Agree with many things that have been said before, check every page, the recently added pictures, popular page and just look through and comment, join in discussions, simple things like "browse and pick", get involved, the more involved you are the more people will see of your pictures then you will naturally get followers.
All this advice is spot on...can't really add to it:) involvement is key, as is doing this project for yourself and staying true to what you love...don't shoot to impress, just keep on where your passion is- if you don't already know, this project will find it for you:) This is a great community, with lots of inspiration!
do the challenges and enjoy yourself...
and from looking through your album, you have a good eye for different angles..
