I don't know if I'm doing something wrong but I can't get the photo search to work anymore......you used to be able to put a word in the search box & it would bring up all the photos with that word in the "tag" but now it will only search users & discussions!!??!!
Am I doing something wrong or is anybody else having this problem?
Me too, some others said the same. If you go to the "Discussion" it gives you in the search and click on one of the photos then go to the tag you want on that photos page you can pull up all the photos. Round about way but it works.
I noticed this the other day and wanted to post a discussion on it, but couldn't remember how to post a discussion. lol. Needless to say, I assumed that I was just missing something. @scrivna any insight into this?
@tigerdreamer
You could certainly use the browse by tag to find certain popular categories. However, not every single tag a person uses will be listed on that page. For example. I'm currently doing a phobia series in which I tag my photos phobia. That tag does not show up on the browse by tag page.
I searched for my city so I could find local 365's and ran into this problem. Luckily one of my photos has it as a tag and so I was able to use that instead.
You're right, the Photos search does seem to be broken. I'm going to go nose around through Help and older discussions, see if it's mentioned anywhere.
You can fill in a tag you want by typing it into the URL for tags, up in the browser location bar: http://365project.org/tags/waffle
--> Change "waffle" to whatever you're looking for.
(You don't even need to type in quotes for multi-word searches; the site automatically fills in the %20 symbols that the HTTP needs to run the search.)
hi, the photo search has been switched off for a bit as it has been slowing down the site lately with all the newcomers, i'll switch it back on when the load dies down and the server can handle it. Like others have said, the tags are a great way to browse the site too.
And here is the Google query to search for the tags themselves, to see what 365 tags exist regarding waffles:
site:365project.org/tags/ waffle
or
site:365project.org/tags/ waffles
Note: Google does not do automatic plural-stemming, so waffleS plural would not cover waffle singular; e.g. one would return "Chicken and Waffles" but not "Waffle House". And vice versa.

Here's the URL format for one person's tags:
http://365project.org/jannaellen/tags/frankfurt
http://365project.org/bonniebouman/tags/germany
(You don't even need to type in quotes for multi-word searches; the site automatically fills in the %20 symbols that the HTTP needs to run the search.)
Thank you :) That helps me very much for now :)
Here's a way to use Google search engine to find pics; WAFFLE is the example:
1) Go to www.Google.com
2) Type query into the search box:
site:365project.org waffle
==> searches everything: photos (title & description), tags, discussions
site:365project.org -site:365project.org/discuss waffle
==> searches photos (title & description), tags; no discussions
site:365project.org/tags/ waffle
or
site:365project.org/tags/ waffles
Note: Google does not do automatic plural-stemming, so waffleS plural would not cover waffle singular; e.g. one would return "Chicken and Waffles" but not "Waffle House". And vice versa.
Thanks Ross (@Scrivna) for coming back to us & thanks everybody for your tips :)
