Song Theme Photography.

For an assignment I have to choose a song and take 5 amazing photos that match the lyrics or the meaning from the song.

I have chosen 'Lights' by Ellie Goulding' - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0NKUpo_xKyQ&feature=related

The song is about Ellie having a fear of the dark. Any suggestions for images would be great!!

Maybe you could just stick it on something portable and play it while you go about your photo-ing, let the song choose the shots? Sounds like a fun (and challenging!) assignment! Can I do it too? haha

And I'm not sleeping now.... A person sitting on the edge of a very unmade bed. Take the image in low key so it is very dark. Do a view by tag search and choose low key. I have seen a couple of really great ones using people there.
You show the lights that stop me turn to stone... again low key with a person and light painting. I've never done light painting but I'm sure you can do another search for something like that and get ideas.
What about a house that is in darkness and there is very limited light around it.

Yeah I agree with @k1w1. You could do low key with a person sat there and then light painting around it. Light painting is sooooo easy! Let us see the final image :)

Bokeh - traffic Bokeh? Layered images of lights? Low key image of a light illuminating a partially open (front/outside) door? Sleeping children?

You could get some sweet insomnia shots.
Also the strength/push lines could be interesting.
