Graveyards.

Hi everyone. I was just wondering what pictures other people had taken. Lets see your photographs of graveyards.

One of my favorite places to photograph. I have a good number of graveyard photos in my project, I won't post them all here, but here are three:

I love graveyards and over the years taken hundreds of pictures in them. If you read the headstones, they all tell a story about the people that once lived in that town.

I ran across this tombstone while geocaching. I enjoy a good sense of humor.

I tend to be a bit more reserved in my photos, focusing on the little details

Went to visit the old family plot this Memorial Day and they had marked all veterans graves with a flag. It was so sad to see this one with no name or date, just looked liked an old lump of clay formed into some sort of marker.

This poor guy has just a brick.

For anyone who follows my posts, they will know I am rather fond of graveyards. This is my latest one from a trip to Shrewsbury

@kaynadog Love the first one with all the old ones leaning.
I must get back to our cemetery in town that dates back to the civil war.

@swilde I scare easy, even though I love graveyards. This though, I'm not sure I could have looked in. LOL

Found while geocaching. @lisjam1 And I thought I had more, but this one is the only graveyard shot I have in my project.

I have only recently discovered our local graveyard. It is rarely used now so most of the graves are quite old.

... abolishment of a previous era resulting in visual manifesto of chaos ... once a place of worship and rest, now sadly adandoned - graves working themselves out of the ground ...
