Advice/Help Wanted

I am planning to make a proposal to my boss. I want to convince him to invest money in a paint job for the employee break area. One component that I would like to include would be a picture of how a brighter break room would look. I am thinking that I could take photo's of the break room and then re-color/brighten in photoshop. I am really not that skilled in photoshop. Does anyone know of a tutorial on how to do what I am thinking or is there another program or something that I could use to create this image?

Not knowing what version of PS you have here is a generic tutorial on changing a background color you might use: http://takeoutphoto.blogspot.com/2009/02/change-background-color-in-photoshop.html

Here is a You Tube tutorial using PS CS3 without sound for some reason: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=j6iEBaZ5iRg

I would go to one of the paint manufactureres websites. They all have programs where you can take a photo of a room and paint it with their colors.
MUCH easier than tackling PS...;-)

I think he might have the imagination to envisage a repainted room, as opposed to its old unpainted self. He might just suggest a higher Watt bulb if you just show him a brighter picture.
