Winter Wedding Photos

September 9th, 2012
A good college friend of mine will have a winter wedding this December. She likes to take things into her hands and asked me to help her with some ideas for the couple shots and group photos (family and wedding guests).

I already collected some ideas, however I thought it would be nice to see if any of you have taken some winter wedding photos or if you have any suggestions or ideas. It will definitly be cold in December but no snow guarantee. The couple is rather modern and funky then traditional.

She is also looking for a photographer in South of Germany (Stuttgart area).

Looking forward to your input. Thanks!

We get married in february (2003) and the shots we prefer are the ones taken out the church: friends and family had "thrown" false snow! Great moment and fabulous shots! :)

After church, everybody went to the hotel for the celebration/party, and me and my husband welcomed every guests when they came through the door, with a glass of cocktail: as it was cold and raining, guests had coat, scarf, they were wet, or had an umbrella... Natural funny shots!!! ;o)

Sure you will have greater ideas from others 365'ers!!

My mates got married a couple of weeks ago. I did all their photos. We were hoping for a bright sunny day, but we got heavy grey skies and lots of rain and had to take most shots indoors!
It did stop just before the sun went down so the official posed wedding shots were in low light, but came out well. The one below was one of my favourites - they had this cool screen made to fit in with their theme but it was perfect for a backdrop to the indoor shots!! -They also wanted fun and informal...I hope they are happy with the results!!

My friends daughter got married last winter and there is a photo of her in wellies under her dress, it was quite amusing but she loved it, it was very her. So I guess the theme can be adapted to suit the occasion
