update on VINNIE

Vinnie

For those of you that responded and sent E-mails, this is an update picture of Vinnie taken today. A few months ago he was at deaths door after hard chemo and stemcell replacement. He is doing much much better now. But has no imune system and has to be extreamly careful. He came to visit me the last couple days
and it was a wonderful visit, what made it even better that a another longtime friend of ours from work long ago came came as well. He does get depresses though when he thinks of what the doctors have said about the cancer. It will more than likely be back in a couple of years. Right now he is going to take it as one day at a time and enjoy as much as he can. He thanks all once again for all the prayers and 365 responce and personal cards that were sent. He does feel extreamly bad that the cards were thrown out by the hospital staff when he had left the hospital. His thinking at the time was drug impaired and he forgot to get them. He truly would like to have them so he could respond to each, but that is impossible now. Thank you again.

Sign up on the bone marrow register - especially you young men out there. It takes no time and if you are identified it is only a day and you are giving hope and a chance. My son did it a few months ago check it out http://www.anthonynolan.org/ or one in your country. It is international and your stem cells or plasma could end up anywhere! Good on you Vinnie!

Glad to hear Vinnie is doing as well as he is. Praying he will not lose hope- it makes all the difference in health. If there's a way we can still get in touch with him, I know that most of us who sent him a card the first time would be glad to send him a "thinking of you" card to replace the one that was lost. Let us know if he'd like that. I know I wouldn't mind sending a second card if he'd like it.
