I woke up this morning with a number of new followers and wondered why. I went looking and found my latest picture on the popular pages! I was slightly amazed and wanted to say THANK YOU to everyone who viewed/commented/fav'd. I never expected to be anywhere near those pages as i am new to photography, and that shot was actually taken on my phone.
I now feel i have to put myself under a lot of pressure to keep producing shots of a high standard which may not be possible as i actually don't have a lot of time and feel may have fluked this one! But we'll see...
This is a wonderful capture. Dont spend too much time chasing the popular page, I did for a while but I have found it is so much more rewarding to enter the challenges and learn from other people. The community is awesome, make the most of it :)
@monika64 Thank you. Chasing the popular page is never something ive tried to do or will do. My concern was that people have followed me based on one shot that i am unlikely to be able to replicate.
@gwhit123 I don't know about others, but I always look at several shots in someone's file before following. Not trying to be stingy with my follows, but really want to make sure that someone's entire body of work is of interest -- now, I have to say that I rarely find that other stuff isn't just as good as that one shot, so I'm following lots of people I "discovered" with one super shot!
