...but I just found out I made the PP page for the first time!
Not joking, I nearly cried! I felt so proud of myself.
I know it shouldn't matter and I know I won't be holding my breath until it happens again. I also know that the PP page isn't a measure of who is a good photographer and who isn't.
That said, I was wondering how other people felt when they found they'd been included among those shown...?
Congratulations my dear! I do remember my first time as well and it is an exciting feeling :) I did my "Happy Dance" for 15 minutes straight :) hehe Congrats again! =D
I didn't even know I made it the first time...but I try to pay more attention now, it is a wonderful feeling to be among such tremendous artists, but I have photos I believe are more worthy and they don't make it...so I take the joy that comes but I am proud of most of my photos! Congrats BTW you do fabulous photos!
I screen-shot every time :P I get so excited. It's awesome. I know it's not everything, but certainly makes me feel better, especially if I'm in a lull. I genuinely appreciate every comment, PP or not.
@jojackson Jo - I didn't even know I'd made it (with my swan shot) until someone congratulated me! I was over the moon excited! I posted a snapshot in my Random album here... I posted a snapshot on my facebook page... I told my family. I was SO excited!!! So I totally get what you're on about. ;-)
@amyamoeba I agree. Every comment I get is so exciting... so thanks to everyone who does bother to comment - I try do the same as much as possible, because I know how much it encourages me. :)
@amyamoeba A screen shot was the first thing I did! In case it vanished, in case it was a mistake!

And I know what you mean. It's the comments people leave that I love the most. Knowing someone not only took the time to look at my photo, they took that little bit longer to type something. It's awesome!
@httpgeffed I didn't know until someone left me a comment congratulating me on it! Hadn't even thought to look if I might be there. Figured it was something I wasn't likely to achieve. And thank you!

I'm not going to lie, I was super excited when the first shot I'd ever posted here made it to the PP. REALLY excited and slightly disbelieving. And the second time I was super excited too! My partner still has a tendency to laugh at me and ask if I'm still popular - in lots of ways it doesn't matter, my project is for me first and foremost and as long as I'm learning and enjoying, that's the point... but nonetheless it feels good to have a shot acknowledged.
@spankyjane I know what you mean, my project is for me. For no one else. But! To have other people enjoy it is a wonderful and largely unintentional side effect and it's always lovely to be noticed!

@jojackson Lol - I now check the PP page (which I had previously been oblivious to) every single day - Just In Case!!!! I know I'll be over the moon all over again if it ever happens again! LOL ;-)
It was unbelievable :-) After 1,5 year I replied to a discussion about the pp. A fellow 365'er was on the pp for a few minutes only and I told him it was a few minutes longer than I had ever been there. The next day I made pp myself which was funny because a gave up on the pp a couple of weeks after my arrival. Congrats, btw
@jojackson Congratulations, The first time I got one I missed it, someone posted to me and I went looking for it and it was there no more, so sad, but I was on a few times since and it really is super exciting and these were not masterpieces but shots that a lot of people liked and made them laugh or smile which is good enough enough for me, I am heading over now to see your shot, again well done.
I've only ever made the Popular Page once - way back in the Summer of 2010, during my first year on 365. (Nothing I've done since then has been "popular"!)
The first time is always special. I'd only been here a couple of weeks when I made the PP for the first time - in fact, I didn't even know what it was! ;-)

I was beside myself when i made it to the pp last week for the first time this project! it too 90 odd photos to get there but i made it then i made it AGAIN within the week... lol i was gleeming!!!
Congratulations! It is indeed a very lovely and beautiful shot, something to be proud of, wether it hits PP or not. And what a great feeling, isn't it?
I hit the PP the first time only last month (25/1) and I'm still wondering why the neighbours didn't complain. I just can't imagine someone doesn't get annoyed when a neighbour starts bouncing up and down the room yelling 'Yihaa' at 3 oclock at night. So, to answer your question, yes, I was 'just a bit excited' when I found out.
I've only got as far as the New Faces page and was dancing round the room squealing with delight.....that's the second time I've typed squealing with delight re 365 ...... I am becoming a recycled teenager!!!

i still have goosebumps,shallow some Xanax and occasionally my roommie calls 911 cause i can't stop dancing....... on the ceiling !!!:)

Congratulations! It is a wonderful accomplishment and really is nice to be highlighted for all your hard work. This project should be fun, so enjoy every second you have a photo up there. :)
Congratulations, it is a lovely photo and well deserving of the PP page. I was the same as you, very excited the first (and only) time I landed on PP page. I know in the scheme of things it doesn't really matter but for me it gave me a bit of extra motivation and encouragement. I love looking at everyone's shot on the PP page for inspiration, so I think it is an important part of the 365 project.
Congrats I still remember my first time though it was well over a year ago & yes I was ecstatic, I immediately phoned my mate Bon who was doing 365 with me at the time & we had drinks after work to celebrate so it is definitely a big deal!! :)
Yes i agree with @mariyakey . Make a print screen. Refresh the Pop page until you get your shot in a big version, then take a print. I've done that with each of my shots that have made the PP.
