I took this picture on Feb 24th. It isn't remarkable really, this was the first day I was out fiddling with my new camera trying to figure out the settings and all.

What is significant about this, at least to me is that I walked past this again today and now this is what it looks like:

I figure I can't be the only one who has a picture of something that is gone now. So what do you have that is preserved only in pictures?
Sure do! Three in one collage. I also tool some of this old school in my hometown....but I,cold not find one in my project...maybe I only put it on Facebook. They tore down that old school (my brothers went there) a few months ago. As I,say in the collage...I call it Death by Camera.
...National pride, which we went a bit mad on last year what with Weddings and athletics and fast bike riding and all that. this year not so much excitement, just recession and cuts and stuff.
I have nothing to add to this, but I have to say, it is a very cool discussion topic. I will look for old photos of where I grew up on a blueberry farm. It is now all MacMansions if you know that expression.
This roller coaster on the boardwalk in Seaside Heights NJ is now sitting in pieces and half under water in the sea after hurricane Sandy, and the other ride is gone completely due to the same storm
