Whilst in London this weekend I visited the Natural History Museum to see the Sebastiao Salgado photographic exhibition. His exhibition was entitled Genesis. All the photos were in B&W and focused on the natural world. As the brochure says 'these photographs document environments that have great scientific importance as well as aesthetic appeal.'
I strongly recommend that if you can get to this exhibition before it closes (I think early September) that you do so. It was truly amazing. For those of you who like to shoot in B&W it will be a joy. For those of you like me who don't choose B&W it is certainly an inspiration.
Thanks for sharing, Christine. (The same exhibition is held in Rome and I missed its opening for one day!!!! I'll try and see it before it closes, hopefully!)
Yes. I ran a thread here back when the exhibition opened. I found his work stunning and was totally gobsmacked. I recommend anyone who has the chance to go and see it. It is time and money well spent.
