Every woman all have a man of her dream.Sorry my profile is not enough here but will tell you more details about me if you find time to write me thruogh my email vivan700_u@yahoo.com Cares to know you. I've deleted it from my picture but .... this is not the 365 spirit. Maybe particularly offensive as it came below a photograph of war medals....
Yes I just got one of these too, I was also offended. I think it has nothing to do with the photo there, it is someone looking for email addresses I would assume.
Yeah, I've gotten it twice tonight. Just one of those annoying spammers. I really wish they'd at least get some help with their English before trying to rip people off. Scheesch!
This is upsetting and I am sorry that it might have overshadowed your experience of 365 for today. There are other places to do this kind of thing. HOpefully Ross will be able to assist in ensuring it doesn't happen again.
@miranda Hi...thanks but no. 365 is something bigger and has become a great forum with so many like-minded folk enjoying each other's photographs. But it would be good to stop this person before he spreads all over the place.
Yes, I got one too, beneath a photo of a kangaroo paw plant! Realised it was a spammer and was going to let Ross know; assume he's now been alerted. More a nuisance than anything but we don't want it proliferating, particularly when it upsets people.
Quite a few received this. I did not click on the respondee. I just deleted the message. I think the problem lies in all the various apps that are connected to this project. it opens up the door to spam, and all the other scam artists out there.
Just delete. There are people that come in and create accounts just to be a pain in the behind. I've gotten personal and offensive messages as well--and had a couple creepy ones sent to my email on top of that. People just have nothing better to do, unfortunately.
Delete the message from your photo but also be sure to let Ross know. There is no way he could keep up with everything that is posted on every photo here so if people would notify him right away that there is a spammer on the loose, he could be sure to get them out of here asap.
@chevymom Hi, oh yes, I deleted it straight away! Couldn't find my contact for Ross so thanks for that link. However, he knows about this one already - that was my reason for starting the thread - so that he'd find the information. Interesting how many have also had this one. Nuisance but at least it can be dealt with.
Sounds rather like a spam/troll message if you ask me... Could be computer generated? You'd be surprised how advanced spam bots are these days... I'm an admin at a game forum and we have had to do all sorts of fancy settings to keep the bots from being able to join and cause havoc...
I got the same message on my July 13th picture. I expected to have problems with that picture because the title is "Plant Porn". I think it's kinda cute they choose that picture to spam. :)
i get this in my YAHOO mail box now and again, but was shocked to see it here on my 365 tonite, too, on today's photo... Oh well, guess there is NO ESCAPING......
My husband got the same message this morning, I guess. *Pulls out fencing sword to defend his honor* "Back away, foul creature!"
Shall I step in for anybody else? Bring it on...
Aww, I didn't get the email! I feel left out now. I'll just have to reply to the auditor for the bank of Nigeria instead. Apparently we can both profit from the enormous unclaimed amount that was hived off into an account of a deceased petroleum magnate. We'll split $13m (that's THIRTEEN MILLION US DOLLARS) if I send him my bank details. Wish me luck!
I got one of these, too, and actually, I'm glad to hear that I wasn't the only one... Nice to know it wasn't personal. I guess there are always people around with nothing better to do!!
@vikdaddy I didn't get it either . . . but I've got the UK Lottery winnings waiting for me, funny, because I live in the US and never bought a ticket, but if I got the e-mail it must be true!!!!!
When you have a forum such as this, and there is no requirement other than giving a user name and email address, you tend to get the script coming thru and dropping all kinds of smut. If you were to Google the email address that ws left in the message, you will find that it was posted more places than you wish to imagine yesterday, or what ever day it was posted.
I have a forum that I have to approve entry and I am constantly deleting the robot requests, as I said, I check the email addresses or the user name and they have "join" loads of forums that day, so the bit-bucket for them. Also, my wife knows most of the people who would be joining our group.
Sorry you got a message like that, but even if a spam filter was added, then even legitimate message could be blocked (I spend two days tracking production email that "all of a sudden" failed to be delived).
@vikdaddy I feel left out too. I didn't get the message. All kidding aside, I use the delete key often whenever I find something offensive. I see that someone has reported them to Ross, and he's already responded, so we're all good now.
I must say Ross is quick to delete things, once in the browse the latest photos area there was quite an offensive photo. It was taken off within about 5 minutes of it appearing.
I was in awe of Ross; quick finding of it
i didn't get it, but that type of thing is why i do not allow my son to post personal information/photos about himself on here. he battles me on this, but there are too many people looking for the wrong thing in this world. if you have children on this site or any other, please, be aware that not only do our memebrs see our photographs, but the whole world, including the spammers and perverts, have access to it as well.
Thankfully, I have not had the "pleasure." Freakin' spammers and hackers. So sorry anyone has had to deal with this. Pay no attention to this crap. I'm off to go check my winnings--apparently I just won a lottery in Nigeria...
hey ho!
I reported it to Ross about half an hour ago and he already removed the account!
Delete the message from your photo but also be sure to let Ross know. There is no way he could keep up with everything that is posted on every photo here so if people would notify him right away that there is a spammer on the loose, he could be sure to get them out of here asap.
His address is ross@365project.org
Sorry this happened to you.

Oh and I enjoy the Nigerian emails... they tell me they love me and that I'm their princess ^_^

@indiannie_jones but you are the princess- you haven't realized that yet?
