I want a lensbaby but when I check them out on Amazon it says they are not compatible with my Mark iii. The lensbaby site says it will work with it in AP mode. Can someone help me out here?
Av that is? http://lensbaby.com/faq You did read it here under Canon, right? I don't see where the 5Diii is different from any of the other Canon Cameras as regards working or not...
I'm not a Canon user, but I would think all modern Canons use the same lens mount? At least physically.
All Lensbaby lenses are manual, and you have to use them in 'Aperture Priority' mode, which is called AV on a Pentax, but probably AP on a Canon? I don't think you will have any problems, really.
I know nothing about Lensbaby, but yes @bankmann it's AV on a Canon as well, and there are two different lens mounts for the cropped sensors and full-frames. Maybe it's not compatible with the latter?
@frankhymus@bankmann@aliha@abirkill yes, typo. I meant AV. Thanks so much everyone. I see a lensbaby in my immediate future. Any recommendations as to which one?
@beckys
It depends on how much you want to spend on it, really.
The bellows type Lensbabies - Spark and Muse - are cheaper, but slightly harder to learn, the Muse having more options for extras.
The Composer and Composer Pro are easier to use, but more expensive. The only real difference between these two is the material the lens is built from.
Thing is, as long as you don't give up playing with it, any Lensbaby will give you a lot of fun. Some of us - like me - go a little LB crazy and get more than one... :-p

Have fun exploring the Lensbaby world! :-)
I think you're right about that.
On the other hand, @roseolivia has already given you a happy answer. :-)
