Just goes to show what you can do if you set your mind to it. Now, the question is if whoever bought it from him, can he sell it to someone else, and who gets to keep the profit? - not that anyone cares.

Hey I just looked at his work and it is shit hot.. Very very nice... So it is good to see that someone that puts in a lot of work gets somewhere... very very very cool I say...

This is just plain silly ... but the buyer knows that there are others with bottomless pockets who will rush to buy it when he decides the time is right to put it up for auction again, so perhaps it's not so silly after all ... just a sound investment.

It is also an interesting image, but that is secondary to the culture of greed and one-upmanship that drives the art world.

It's a sick old world when somebody can get paid almost 8 million dollars for a photograph. I wonder how many starving children could be fed with 8 million dollars? Probably quite a few.
