I think somebody mentioned this a while ago but not sure. As it is just over a month away I was wondering if anyone was thinking of going to it in Birmingham UK. Must admit I have never been so don't know if it is worth it or not.
Dates are from 21 March-24 March 2015, so it starts on a Saturday and finishes on a Tuesday. I am lucky and can make it on the weekdays but always happy to look at other days.
Anyone interested, or has a constructive opinion about how worthwhile it is to go.
Hi, I'm not sure whether I'm going this year but I've just had an email from them last afternoon!
I went last year and had a good day - I did some research on a couple of things that I was interested in, but other than that just enjoyed wandering around fairly randomly! I did get a good price on a new lens that I had my eye on and saw a lot of other gear that I would love to own but could never ever afford.....
I got a free ticket so didn't have to feel that I got my money's worth, though the parking was expensive (let me know if you want to lift share from South Warwickshire!) .
Lots of people have told me that hardly anyone pays for tickets, if you're involved with photography at all you can get a free ticket. But I've had a quick look at the website and it looks as if they're tightening things up a bit this year.....
I went last year and would like to go again, but I won't be able to commit to a date until next week when I have hubby's next roster. If I go it will probably be Monday or Tuesday.
Maybe I'll go but a little unsure as hubby is in Saudi again 6th- 19th and then we have Gary Numan gig on the Saturday so I'll see if I can get hubby to go :-) Monday or Tues @padlock
@padlock I'm going with someone from the Camera Club and from what they tell me, it's worth a visit as they've been before. I'm going on the Monday and it would be nice to bump into you!!! Any chance of another London Meet Up sometime?
@padlock Going on Saturday ( got it wrong about Gary Numan gig thats Friday) Cheaper to travel on W/end as can get there for when show opens whereas Mon/Tues would have been more expensive or arrive later.
Two of us had discussed it, then forgot when we booked a weekend away from families to take photos. I could not believe it when I realised what we had done but there is always next year. Having a Thelma and Louise moment is what we needed and hard to find the time. Have a good trip those who go.
