...but I only just realized that my account has been switched over to an ace membership, and by no doing of mine. Could this be a glitch? I hate to think that bothersome old wizard is back and slinking about my interwebs again. I also hate to think Ross has been shortchanged. Has anyone else experienced this before?

Over the years that I have been here, there has from time to time been people that have been "gifted" an ace memebership, but I don't know who does the gifting. Maybe that is what happened?
I know someone who used to use this site who got gifted his Ace membership by one of his followers. I also know that this person then went on to gift it to two others before leaving. There are some really nice people out there.
