What's your favourite photo from the past week or so? (Between 24 - 31 Dec as I've rounded it up to the last eight days to finish nicely for the year.)
Let us know by posting them here by copying and pasting the code from the 'Share' box that's in your photo page, together with info on when it was taken. Part of the challenge is only selecting ONE picture, so no cheating!
I liked a few of what I took these past few days, but the one I took on 29 December was very popular and probably my favourite too:
Here's my favorite from this week, not sure if it's because it's my favorite or if it's because of the song it reminds me of- which is quickly becoming my favorite song ever. Oh well, either way, this pic makes me feel the best :D
this is my fave of mine for the week, because it was the last shot of the evening, it was SOOC, and i see and feel "trust" when i look at her, and that IS what i felt at the time i shot it ... love it :))
Still so far behind because of life getting in the way but this is my favorite for this time period. The sky was so awesome that day and I was happy to have something to shoot since I haven't really been able to leave the house in about a month.
Technically nothing, and one of my mountain or snow scenes were more beautiful, but th'Tree Girls' is my favourite for last week. That's because I can hear the giggles and laughter of the kids, see their waves and excitement at being discovered, and because they were so darned unexpected, just suddenly appearing directly below me whilst I was taking a totally different picture across mountains - and I was right, far out in the sticks.
I love this one. I love to discover some aesthetic qualities and composition possibilities in the most simple, even unnoticed objects in my surrounding
I really want to give you my special Christmas Eve pic (http://365project.org/misschuff/365/2010-12-24) but been told the border is too glitzy soooooo and as @vikdaddy will only let me do one pic I'll give this one as my special Christmas Fairy made it anyway ...
This is the hardest one for me because I made a special effort as it was my last week. I pretty much like all the photos, but this one is probably my favourite (though I think many others will prefer the food, action figures and Lego!):
I'd say this one. It's the whisk attachment for my stand mixer with marshmallow on it, but apparently it looks like an alien from what I've heard in my comments!
@misschuff um just before the major lookout theres a place called gibsons steps, theres a carpark there for it and everything. we didnt know it was there either except we just had to check it out cuz there were cars everywhere. :)
Not overall a superior image, but I still love love love the motion of the shot
The loss of my MIL's head is still a bit of a mystery, and still a tad annoyed at how I had to frame it to keep the table out of the shot on the left, but still really like how the motion of her playing with her costume shows in the image, and how little post processing I had to do.
Well, since I'm new, I only had one to choose from, but I actually like it. Not so sure if I'll be able to say that too often, so I'm going to post it!
For me it would have to be this Collage. Grandma is not very well and when asked at one point what he wanted for Christmas my son said 'A photo with Grandma. I think this will be her last Christmas and I want a photo with her" he is 5yrs old and such a sweet boy.
@filo13 I'm a bit embarrassed to say I can't say EXACTLY what I did (I guess I need to start paying more attention when I start playing?)
I used four texture layers with various blending methods. I adjusted until I got something I was happy with. I know one of the layers was called pollution. All came from this site http://my2econdskin.blogspot.com/
This was my first time to ever work with textures, and I've only been using PS for about a month, so I just sort of "played" mindlessly. The original photo was rather nondescript-lamp against a blue sky with some scattered wispy clouds and a burst of flare from the sun.
Sorry I can't be more specific.
This one because I've come to appreciate how much you can do with so little (the original of this was basically a silhouette and the background sky a dark gray with two big blurry telephone lines running through it - not pretty)
@cdford Go to the picture and on the right under your tags you'll see 'Share.' Right click in the box, copy, and just paste here. Sweet picture, btw! Oh, but now I see it's not actually one you have posted in 365. I think that's what they mean on these discussions.
Most of my pix from that week were at home or at party shots, nothing terribly artistic or interesting outside of my immediate circle. However, this one was of a half-frozen waterfall my wife and I found on Christmas Eve on our way to a friend's house. The light was awful and I had no tripod but I tried to capture it as best I could. And I used a little HDR help to balance out the lights and darks.
This is my favorite, probably because it's the most personal. It's not exactly as I imagined it, but it turned out more honest than my idealized concept.
It's really close between this one and the one from the 29th, but since I posted that one in the "your best of 2010" thread, I will post this one for the week :)
Not really Christmas-y as my family went to Roatan, Honduras for the holidays, but I love the colors of the chairs in this pic of our porch at the rental house.
...and Happy New Year!
love looking at this-although it makes me a little hungry :)
Wish I'd put up one of the alternates now for this shot, but this is the best of a bad final week of shots ...
And now, I am officially done.
I just started so my choice wasnt hard :P
Christmas morning, couldn't choose any other...our daughter looked so sweet in her santa dress and was smiling all day
good end to a good day
Taken on Christmas day.

LOVE that!

Oddly, this was my favorite.
This is my favorite picture of the last week of the year in 2010
Not really my best photo, but I love how it shows off my new toy that I got for Christmas.
definitely this one. took ages and hundreds of shots to get it right
With the dreary weather around here, I'll take all the color I can get!
this is mine.. hihihi i love the story it says.... yay!! =)
