I can only guess I've inadvertently hit something that has disabled my Photoshop Filter Gallery - will open, but not take any action on any filter when pressed. Do use that Watercolor filter on occasion and would love to have it back. Any ideas?
Have you recently had system updates?That can sometimes throw things off a bit and all you can do is restart your machine a few times and hope it starts working again!

Is the filter layer "on"? There's a checkbox in the bottom right'ish section of the filter screen that allows you to add many layers, and you can check the boxes to turn the layers on or off.
Some of the filters don't work or are grayed out if your image is 16 bit mode. Take the image to 8 bit mode and see what happens. Post what happens and then I'll reply with more to try.
