Starting Challenges

April 4th, 2017
I am thinking about starting a challenge (just a one-off one) but i'm not sure how voting and winners and things like that go. Could anyone explain how to start a challenge and all the in's and out's of it.... :)
Thanks!!!

Its all up to you! You start a challenge you pick the rules! Thats my thought anyway!

take a squiz at the current challenges going & see how they are set up, no two are the same but they are all ran in the same manner. Describe your challenge & rules you want to set, set a tag & give start & finish dates, if you have voting start it asap to the finish date. If you want to run a one off maybe it doesn't need voting. Most challenges run at least seven days to give everyone a chance to enter. To start one up just go to themes & competitions & hit new topic & that will bring up a blank thread for you to write up your challenge. If you need anymore help just tag me

@wenbow Thanks, im curious as to how voting goes. Do i (as the starter of the challenge) chose the top 5 and then how do i determine the winner when everyone comments the number??
Sorry might seem a bit confusing...

Yes you choose the first one & then the winner hosts the next one if you want the challenge to continue, just pick at least four days for people to vote so give a date to end the voting, then you tally up the votes on that date & announce the winner on a new thread

I agree with Diane @dianen and as Wendy @wenbow said you can look at some of the current challenges and get ideas on how you might like to run it

Not all challenges have voting and winners, some you just join in, such as a Rainbow month. My best advice is to not run the challenges too long. Any more than 10 days and people forget them, and definitely post a reminder halfway through.
