Just for laughs, @janmaki and I just completed our own little "Crappy Photo Challenge" - where we went out on our usual photo shoot for the day, legitimately trying to get a good shot, and then posted our worst shot of the day, all sooc. Which meant we uploaded a photo for the day that we normally would have hidden deep in the dark recesses of deletion. It was pretty entertaining, although none of my shots for that particular day turned out all that crappy (it's hard to go wrong when you're shooting a sunset with amazing skies) - so in sympathy I uploaded my worst shot from last week.
Here's Jani's. A thing of beauty, really.
And here's mine, which is clearly AMAZING.
Just wondering if there's any other contenders out there. Got a truly crappy shot you'd like to share? Cause I'd LOVE to see it:)
@pwallis@janmaki I love your Crappy Photo Challenge! I was already following you Paula and now I must follow Jani. The comments are as good as the challenge! :0)
@triciaknuts lol - you can upload what you've already got. I hated to use up a whole day of 365 photo'ness on such a horrible shot, so I totally get that:) I'm super competitive though, so I couldn't let Jani win with his swan shot.....
@pwallis I try not to upload crappy shots on purpose ---- but here's what I do when I have a crappy one that I really like: Triple process + Quote = Winning!
@mej2011 lol - I actually had your two crap photos in mind when I created this thread.....Just wasn't sure if you'd be too happy with me if I posted them in all their glorious crappiness...
@pwallis - I guess I'll have to find the other one to post now. I wouldn't have minded at all. I think this is the best thread/challenge I've seen on here since I started.
@mej2011 I'm torn between the two. I mean, the composition of the hambone is so spectacular, and just the thought process that went into taking a photo of a hambone to post. But I have a special fondness in my heart for your reflected selfie.
@pwallis -Hmmmmmmmm. Maybe I can blend the two and make the mother of all craptastic photos!
I am thinking I want to put my song lyric inspired series on hold, and after the a-z challenge, do a series on purposely bad photos. What do you think?
This is a strong contender for the crappy photo challenge (my first challenge here btw!) Note top of someone's shaggy hair on the bottom. It's my first week... Seems like years ago :)
@naladka@refriedradio@dhaami@mej2011 Wow - these are some stunners! I actually had to look a Meghana's for a few minutes to figure out what I was seeing. But Melissa's set the bar pretty high with her hambone shot.....A lot of thought, set-up, and planning went into that composition.
A busy day doing home renovations gave me my crappy photo... Yup it's a photo of a hubby doing a install of a real crapper. This is the one 365 photo I would love to have a do over. Next renovation project I'll be taking my 365 photo before I start the project. But seriously how much crappier can a photo get than this one????
Theme - circles; FAIL! 1) it's upside down 2) although it seemed to be a good idea at the time, t here's no way to determine from looking at the picture exactly what it is!
Love this thread - shows how human we all are really! Personally, I have too many crappy photos to post, so it is gong to take me a while to find the truly craptastic one.
OMG ... thanks Jani (@janmaki) and Paula (@pwallis) for this fabulous idea. Can't stop laughing ... this is hilarious :))) I think I also can add quite a few but I'm still laughing ... hahaha!
Yeah, that's right...random bagpipers in a parking lot. You think I could get closer instead of zooming on my crappy cellphone nope? I decided to zoom. Ah crappy photo.
Had I known there'd be so many amazing - nay - absolutely stunning entries - I wouldn't have been so quick to judge @mej2011 as the winner. However, I have yet to see something more craptastic than Melissa's "Hambone" shot. And she has even let me in on a behind the scenes fact - Hambone was actually processed as well. So what you see there is the finished product of an EDITED photo. Incredible!
@lazra79 I would've done the same - get all excited to see random bagpipers and then knock off a horrific cell phone shot of them because I think everyone else should see them too, lol

But that bone... Priceles :D
Without further ado - I think we can all agree that the winner of the Crappy Photo Challenge is, hands down, Melissa - with her spectacular "Hambone" shot. I could go into great detail as to why this shot is so stupendous, but why not just enjoy it for yourself:
Honorable mention of course, goes to Amber for her very literal take on a "crappy" photo, and Janna for her ironically unfocused Hot Shot Photographer photo:)
Thanks for playing guys, that was a laugh!
@janmaki ~ I'll try harder next time!
I don't know what I was thinking...
