I've noticed over the last week or so that my stats have gone way down. During March and half way through April I was averaging around 100 views per day....these days im lucky to get 10!!!!!
Whats going on? Are my photo's just getting boring? I remember a thread that someone else had noticed something similar...
I can only comment for me Emma - I've started working full time and have become time poor. I still try to comment on the photos of people I follow (you being one). But as you said, this subject was brought up a few weeks ago by someone else and I'm not sure what the outcome was.
I think that a lot of people started the project in January, and maybe a bit of the excitement has worn off? I've sort of experienced the same thing with my views, but must admit that I'm not commenting or viewing pics as much as I used to either. Also, as I start following more people, I can't keep up with them all!
I feel like I want to go through the people I'm following and cull it, but I'd feel terrible unfollowing someone!
im in the same boat emma... lucky to get 6-7 views, i have a handful of lovely people who almost always comment, which i adore each an every one of them. Though i've noticed very much that my stats have too dropped.
I'd assume what Holly said, the january ppl the novelty has worn off??
My followers having gone down so they must still have their accounts...oh well I guess I'll just keep plodding along, but its good motivation when you get responses to your photo's.

You also have to appreciate that if people see your thumbnail in their Home thread, they might not actually click on it but have seen it. Which for what ever reason if they don't actually click on it to view on a new page, thats not a view.
I don't open every thumbnail I see in my home thread :-)
I think that's kind of the norm. While I have a number of followers, my pictures start out with only about 10-20 views. My comments usually come from a handful of faithful commenters. Once I'd accepted that my pictures weren't going to get loads of comments and hundreds of views, it became ok. I post for the joy of taking pictures and posting and if a few others like them, then that's ok with me.
@bruni that´s so true Bruni. I have about 130 followers, but only maybe 20-30 who actually follow me. I would love to have the opportunity to delete followers. Maybe that would give a better picture of followers!!
I don't understand why a lack of commenting is worthy of deletion. I follow a number of people but I am not a comment whore. I post on pictures that stand out to me for whatever reason, but just because I don't post on every single picture of someone I follow doesn't mean that I don't value and appreciate their body of work.
@tkallen Totally agree! I follow close to 300 people and there is no way I can comment on all, or even see all everyday. I also like to provide comments on friends who comments on my photos (I think the word "followers" is kind of funny). If I comment on all of them everyday, I'd be out of job.
I think a lot of our views have gone down since FB deleted the app. I often forget to post to FB to get people outside of 365 to view. I know it's not the reason for everyone, but we have been seeing more of these discussions since that whole thing went down. Just a thought. I also know that for half of the world, spring is here. I am spending more and more time outside and just minutes a day in front of the computer.
@tkallen I think you misunderstand me. I wont delete people because they dont comment my pictures. I want to delete people when they not are active on this side anymore. I have a lot of followers who hasnt been here since summer 2010.
@loa I guess I just don't understand the desire to weed out people. Admittedly, I have just a few followers, but I can honestly say that I don't think it would even occur to me if one more more of them became inactive. Maybe I'm just not as attentive as you are.

Thanks for your comments! I wont be deleting anyone, and @cfitzgerald you are probably right about the fb app! I know alot of my fb friends loved when it posted my photo's, now that I think about it that could be part of it.
