I'd like to pick your creative brains please.... I promise it won't hurt too much.
I have been asked to take some photos of a 2 year old, using a prop of some description, so that in 18 months time I can then take a similar photo of Miss 2 year old's younger brother. Mum would like to then print out a side by side comparison.
Will the younger brother be a newborn? I was going to suggest a chair but that could all depend on the age of the brother. If it's a newborn brother, maybe a soft toy, would be nice if big sis was buying little bro a new toy iykwim.
Hmm, not sure a 2-year-old can be posed, unless it's close to nap time. Maybe not even then, lol. Paintbrush and paper? Flowers? How about a huge lollipop and the television? Haha, kidding with that last one.
I second the chair. Give them something like a stuffed animal to hold/play with and then you can have a good size comparison between the two. I would also time the shoot right after they eat, and have snacks there for bribery.
@clarissajohal Yes! I think I should use the term 'pose' loosely! This little girl I'm going to take a photo of is my daughter's "birthday twin" - we met in hospital ..... and even with my own at-home experience of 2-year old wrangling.... I know this is going to be a challenge! @smevvy Love the idea of holding a prop too! Thanks Heather :) @lolanae Ditto Brandy! Thanks so much - the item to hold might buy me a couple of extra seconds of still time. Hope the light is good and I can use a fast shutter speed :)
