I have now counted up the votes for either 13th or 14th August for the summer meet and most people can make either, with four votes split equally between the two dates so I am making a decision to meet on the 13th August as it will make it easier for people travelling.
I suggest we meet at 11.00 - 11.30 at the same place we met last time ( steve - eyebrows can help me out here) close to Tower Hill. I am open to suggestions as to where to go but for starters there is a great riverside walk from St Katherines Dock just past Tower Bridge to Waterloo with plenty to take photo's of.
Can you please confirm if you are coming on here and also if you email me I can exchange mobile numbers with you.

I'd totally forgotten about this, because I'm and idiot, but I'm planning on being in Nodnol on the 13th anyway, but with only early morning and (potentially) late evening activities planned, so a daytime meet slots in perfectly!

Um, 13th is tricky. I will be around London in the morning - but I have a meeting sometime (I think ten-ish?) and that's in East London. I then have to be in Colchester for about four in the afternoon, so I'm not sure what I'll be able to squeeze in during the day that day. :/
@manek43509 if you are in east london at 10.00 we meet at tower hill about 11.30 which is easy to get to from east london ( depending where you are ). You may be able to squeeze in a couple of hours ...I hope so!
@shenay@blightygal Oh, I'd love to be there, but as I'm super old and it's a *big* Birthday I'll be out the country celebrating/commiserating ... you'll have to drink extra mojitos on my behalf ;-) !!
If I can arrange for my husband to watch the kids for the day and if the train fare isn't too expensive I'd love to come to this.

This is only a couple of weeks before I fly out for my wedding, so I'll be busy I'm afraid! I think the next one should be out of the capital... how about Nottingham??! ;)
@cindy - yep, get back from Malta a couple of days before but should be recovered enough for London on the 13th. Same as blightygal, may be a little late, the trains up from Weymouth take a few hours. Will have to arrange a meet-up in Weymouth and Portland this time next year as we are hosting the Olympic sailing events - just an idea!

@toast@eyebrows I am relying on you guys to lead the route! So far I am thinking of doing the Thames river walk from Tower Hill towards Waterloo so that people coming by train can continue their way easily, but if there are any interesting diversions to explore let us know.

@eyebrows not sure I will go for the portraiture element ...by that time I may have a bit of a thirst lol @toast but you were so good last time ....seriously tho' its fairly straight forward following the Thames walk, I just thought you may have a few interesting detours up your sleeve lol.

@toast Hi thanks that would be good. We need to bare in mind that we will have some late comers to the group so we need to have a simple route for people to catch up with us. Canary Wharf security can get funny so I suggest we skip that option. I suggest we discuss any detours from the river side route when we meet?
Cindy - thanks for including me on the list but unfortunately it seems I will not be able to make it. yeah the parts where we're walking wont be affected. Also the city of london have their own police force so we should be good. Famous last words perhaps....
