1 - Looks to be near an old paymasters office (slots for time cards). Makes you wonder what is off the the left of the shot.
3 - Rather traditional, but I like old traditional. Might be a door at the upper level, keep them guessing.
Honorable mention #4 - Old and new, something blue. Also the building looks like a box, nothing interesting. Might have gotten more of the older building reflected off the new, might have worked.
All awesome but 2&4. The doors and windows have been shot a zillion times from the front, so I like the POV of #2. #4 has an abstract quality to it and a lot to look at, slowly you find more and more stuff as you keep looking, whereas #3 is more a full on blast of details, maybe even a bit overwhelming.
Wow, I am getting an awesome response from everybody. Difficult to choose. But I think I have a solution to this predicament. In January we have an open competition, only restriction is that it has to be a "Movie, Book or Song Title".
So, I thought I would use 2 and 3 for the January competition
2 would be "The Doors"
3 would be "Dark City"
and save 1 and 4 for the "Doors and Windows" in February
1 because of the texture and color. I love decay.
4 because I'm a sucker for reflections. I love the shiny, new, modern building reflecting the older one.
Wow! Robert, such a tough choice. They are all so amazing. I think 3&4. Four is very out of the box and It seems as if it might have the greatest chance to net you a prize because of that! BEST OF LUCK!
Nice texture in the first one, and reflections in the second, but the middle two have nice perspective and I think they compliment each other.
And probably 1.

All of them are something to be proud of though.
2: Shows your skill with perspective
2. amazing patina and strength and story on the church doors.
3. can't we pick four?
2 & 3 will be up this month, hope the judge likes them.
I put in 3&4 for "Doors and Windows".
1&2 I'll put into Jan's Open competition.
