And now for the Artist Challenge #42 - Edward Hopper

The challenge is to take a photograph recreating one of Hopper's paintings, or to photograph something in the style that is reminiscent of his work, or to take a concept of one of his paintings and make it your own.

Edward Hopper (July 22, 1882 – May 15, 1967) was a prominent American realist painter and printmaker. While he was most popularly known for his oil paintings, he was equally proficient as a watercolorist and printmaker in etching. Both in his urban and rural scenes, his spare and finely calculated renderings reflected his personal vision of modern American life. (Info from wikipedia)

These are some examples of his work:

The challenge starts now and runs through Sunday Nov 25th at Midnight EST. I know Thanksgiving is coming up for some of us, hopefully that won't interfere with any entries!

Please tag your pictures: ac-hopper

Please have fun with it - I'm really looking forward to seeing your pics!
