Thank you to everyone who helped Plan-4-Jan, in total we have had over 200 words nominated and this is how I have compiled our list:
- Firstly I added the words that were nominated for specific dates (for example 25th for Burn's Night).
- I then put some similar words together like ‘Ocean’, ‘Sea’ and ‘Water’ and renamed some like ‘Sun’ and ‘Snow’ to ‘Snow or Sun‘.
- I then counted up the number of times that the words were nominated and attaching those to the matching date (where I could)
- Where there were two or more with the same count, I added these randomly in to the next available date.
- The final words are “Bonus Words” that can be used at any time to replace any day where you don’t feel you can’t use the word of the day.
Please note that the dates are just recommendations and you do not have to stick to them, you can use any of the 41 words in any order you like, if you wish to.

16th - Snow or Sun (14 People asked for it)
17th - Dragon (We are currently in the Chinese year of the Dragon)
18th - Pooh or Story (Winnie the Pooh Day)
19th - Rain / Rainbow (3 People asked for it)
20th - Wood (2 People asked for it)
21st - Dream or Hug (Martin Luther King Jr. Day & National Hugging Day)
22nd - 13 (2 People asked for it as it is 2013)
23rd - Feet (Measure your feet day)
24th - Love (In preperation for St Dwynwens Daythe Welsh patron saint of lovers.)
25th - Burn's Night (Robert Burns 250th Birthday)
26th - Australia Day (Australia Day)
27th - Blue (3 People asked for it)
28th - Near You (A Public Attraction or Where you live)
29th - Movement (2 People asked for it)

I'm a pretty new member & am just figuring everything out. Do I have to upload a shot &assign it to the day I took it? It's just that I created a collage (like a vision board) for my resolutions for 2013 which would be great to upload for #1 but I created it a week ago and I didn't take all the pics on it, some I just got from google, is that allowed or should I take another pic?

@newme2013 Everyone is invited to participate! Have fun with it... looking forward to seeing your ideas. You don't have to upload everyday. When you upload you'll have the opportunity to verify the date for each photo. Have fun!

@bulldog - you know that you are our hero, right? I finished two straight months of following the order of the lists, but for these last days of my year, I'm going to draw INSPIRATION from the list! Thank you - as always - for all you do to encourage, inspire, honor and entertain us, friend!

"BBQ/Beach vs Open fire" was suggested by Kitti Nelsonace who asked if we could we look at some choices of opposites for weather related suggestions to accomodate the opposing hemisperes. She did also second "International sceptics day" for the 13th - I bet you could not do that one!
Sorry if this is a stupid question, but if it's not obvious why the photograph is relevant to the day's word (the way my mind works sometimes, I seem to see things about 90° to other people), or if we use a bonus word that day instead of the expected word, how do we indicate that?
Okay, thanks. I'll see whether I can retrospectively fit my existing January photos into the list somehow, and then decide whether it's worth continuing with it. Otherwise, I guess there will be other months :)

Edit, part duck: Weirdly I thought of, and did, a striking match photo yesterday (wasted several matches trying to catch it on the timer, with the camera held between my knees ;-) that I could have used for "Open fire". Oh well, maybe I will use it anyway, just on another day.
Blimey, I have just found this , what a good idea and something to stretch our creative minds even more. Not sure I will follow the word each day but good to have it there . Tomorrow is Doors , time to get thinking !
@gphelps5 Hindsight is wonderful :) Many of us contributed to the list, but perhaps we need to think about how narrow our suggestions are! i.e. would 'time of day' have been better? I guess I will be using one of the spare words today .
I do realise that just because it was foggy here doesn't mean it was fogy all over the globe and I look forward to seeing some stunning pics :)

@corgimom I started late, too. I just tagged my existing photos for the month according to the list, and carried on from there. Yes, that means some of them are "out of order", but it can't be helped.
To add a shot into a thread like this, simply follow these steps:
1. Open you pictures post (where you can read all the comments)
2. On the fight hand side of the photo you will see thinks like the number of views, comments, etc.
3. Under the one marked 'Tags', you will see an area called 'Share' with Facebook / Tweet share icons.
4. Just below that, you will see a text box with the full code you need to share your photo.
5. Copy this complete code and paste it into the forum that you want to show it.
@amyamoeba The "most depressing day of the year"? Is it? I suppose it is if you don't have a pet to dress up. Maybe I can make an origami one for today's challenge word.
