First - a humongous thank you for all the views, comments, favs and votes for my "dusk" shot for the Michael Kenna challenge... and thank you specially to @Lunaksi for hosting that challenge and choosing such a wonderful artist to emulate!
For all of you that are new to this challenge, it's quite simple:
1 - learn about the chosen artist and then
2 - take your camera and take/create a photo that represents the artist's work.
How you do it is totally up to you! And that's the best part of it - it's a fun way to learn something new about different photographers, painters, artists... and about photography in general. Not to mention you get a chance to practice with your camera :)
For the next artist challenge I have chosen M.C. Escher... (hopefully he hasn't been chosen previously - i was quite surprised that his name did not appear on the list)...

this site includes a gallery of his work which is quite comprehensive... and you will see that not everything he did was about illusion, and not everything was in black and white either... so hopefully there will be lots of scope for your creativity...

@mrsbaldy hmmm.... Not really as far as I know - although a droste effect image could be Escher-like... His stuff tended to be more optical illusion than regression (although maybe he did some droste and I missed it - it's quite possible)
New to this. Do we just post on this discussion or is there a tag we should use. Also, how long does a challenge last? Does photo need to be from that time period?
@caroleb all answers are in the original post above... Yes there is a tag... Yes there is a deadline to enter... And yes photos must be taken within the specified timeframe :)
