Thank you to all who suggested words for 2014’s Fun-in-February.
Please note that the dates are just recommendations and you do not have to stick to them, you can use any of the 35 words in any order you like, if you wish to.
The tag for February will continue in the same format as before, First three letters or the month, the year and then ‘words’.

In total we had 488 words nominated and this is how I have compiled our list:
- First, I removed the words that were used in January.
- I then counted up the number of times that the words were nominated. I used all words with four or more nominations.
- Words without a date association were added randomly throughout the month..
- I did combine some, such as - red, pink, white, purple (just called valentine colors) and mail, letter, stamp, in order to add some variety.
- As agreed in previous months, the following words are bonus words each month; Birthday and Anniversary along with the Star Signs and Birth Stones. I also added Birth Flowers.
The bonus words are: Birthday, Anniversary, Aquarius & Pisces (star signs) as well as Amethyst (birthstone) iris & violet (birth flowers) And here is our list for February (why they were chosen [number of times suggested]):

This looks fun. Thanks again and I'm in. My goal this month also is to try to overcome a few of my fears so I'm trying to combine this with my own private "no-fear-February" idea of posting a couple things a week that I usually would be afraid to do.
@kjarn@mtpagano@pandorasecho Are you all saying that the tag says that it came from Bulldog? That is really weird. I did tag everyone that gave word nominations. I am trying to put together a list of all nominators and participants, to make tagging a little easier. It's a bit of work in progress.
@debrac I got notifications that I was tagged by you and by bulldog, but in the post I see where you did it. I've noticed bulldog tagging me before in his pictures or a discussion and I never see where the list shows up of who he tagged
I just wanted to say that your words helped me so much last month. I tried to post the word of the day most days and it gave me a direction. There were a few that stumped me and with lack of prior planning I posted something else. You give some interesting explanations for the words and this is educational too. Thank you and all your contributors, I think this will get me to 365.
@joansmor I'm glad it helped. There have always been some words that stump me, too. Watch what others post for those words, and it can really get your creative juices flowing, for the next stumpy word.
