What is Haiku?
According to dictionary.com - a major form of Japanese verse, written in 17 syllables divided into 3 lines of 5, 7, and 5 syllables, and employing highly evocative allusions and comparisons, often on the subject of nature or one of the seasons.
I enjoy writing poetry, and I have enjoyed learning about Haiku. I'm not the best at it, but I find it to be an interesting form that challenges preciseness in communication. Matching an image to it is a bit of reversal to the typical fashion of writing the haiku to an image. It should be fun, and hopefully a challenge.

WEEK 2 HAIKU - Beckoning
This world we live in
Infinite, yet limited
Beauty beckons death
In the garden, as in life, beauty is fleeting; the flower of summer followed by the sere seed head of winter. But in that seed head hide spring, and next years flowers, the infinite renewal.
Beautiful pollution
Burns, with mighty force
Even in death, no remorse
