Re-take an old photo

As todays words for the monthly word list are 'Old to New', I thought it may be nice to run a little challenge for everyone this week.

The challenge is simple, find an old photo of somewhere near you and re-take it. This may be an old photo you have, or a simple internet search for ‘Old Photos’ and the area you live, should help.

Please post your shots between now 21st April and next Monday, the 28th and tag your photos with OldNew

Once you have your old photo, re-visit the place and take todays photo and then use one of the following options (or one of your own):

1. LINKED: Post your New photo and post a link to a copy of the Old photo

2. DIPTYCH: Create a 'Diptych’ to put the two photos side by side. (Pickmonkey can help with this)

3. HOLD-UP: Hold the old photo up and take a shot of both, like these or if you are really clever try this.

4. MERGED: Merge the old and new, like this:

Oh, thanks for reminding me. I hope I can use a picture of one in the snow and one in the spring. Working today so only have my lunch hour. Okay forget this it's early in the morning and my brain is working slow. I have a picture of my family home that I am using. Not the best but this project is for me and I like see my family then and now.

Great idea. I have an album of old photos from the village where I was brought up so hopefully this will nudge me into recreating some.
