Thanks for choosing my tomato picture as winner of the last mundane-vegetable challenge. It was so cool coming back from a short trip to Paris and saw that my photo made it to the five finalists. I had a look at all your entries and love the wide range of vegetables and different kinds of shots. Many thanks also to @stimuloog for hosting.
By finding a new challenge I realised that many great themes already had been done. But then I had a second look at my winner photo and get inspired :-) I’m wondering why this wasn’t on the list yet: The new mundane challenge is cutlery.
Knife, spoon, fork, the silverware of your grandparents – or maybe something completly different like chopsticks. Show your favorite cutlery as a cut-out-image, set the table, cut or impale something, show them in combination with food or form a smiley with them. You are free to use any photographic technique you would like to use to capture this mundane object.

The starting date is immediately, Saturday, May 10th, and will run through to the end of Sunday, May 18th (EST). Voting will occur Monday, May 19th, till Wednesday, May 21th. The winner will be announced on Thursday, May 22th (EST).
