Huge thanks to Kiran @ikamera for hosting the last challenge and to all of you who voted for my chair.
Inspired by the surprise party that @newbank threw for me and a comment made by Annie @annied in that thread, I have chosen the mundane object for the next challenge … drumroll please … CAMERA ...
Now, I know that for many a camera isn’t a mundane object (in fact it is very special and maybe a bit technical!), but for those of us who consider them trusted, old friends, they are or we are hoping that they will be. I know it is going to be tricky to take a photo of your camera, but I know that you will all be creative and come up with some fantastic ideas!
You are free to use any photographic technique you would like to use to capture this mundane object and feel free to post your entries on this thread as well to inspire others.
The starting date is Monday, 21st July (tomorrow), and the challenge will run for 10 days through to the end of Thursday, 31st July to give time for people who are on summer holidays (lucky folk!)
Voting will start shortly after the finalists are selected and will last for a couple of days, and the winner will be announced shortly thereafter.
You can take as many shots as you wish but they must be taken within the challenge time frame to be considered as a finalist.
@archielogical More special than mundane I think - what a great collection! I'm loving the collection of old cameras that folk are posting - the processing in this suits the subject perfectly.
@dibzgreasley thanks Debs, to add to the detail, the two old photographs that are still in view and in focus are; my Dad (on the LHS) and me (a few years back, last century)rubbing my eyes, whilst on my Grandad's knee, both photographs on the beach, which in presume is Scarborough, and on deck chairs :)
