It seems each week there are one or two players who go AWOL, which can be very frustrating for their partners... in order to give everyone a good chance to play, if you do not get a challenge by end of day Monday, please let me know and i will do my best to get things sorted...
If you do not get in touch with your partner by Monday, I will take your name off the list until you let me know that you are back and WILL be playing... this is not meant to be punitive - it is just intended to minimize disappointment for those who are playing consistently :)

IMPORTANT - PLEASE READ!!!!!!
One of the key aspects of "get pushed" is that we get "pushed" out of our photographic comfort zones... this means that you need to find something that is a CHALLENGE for your partner...
Look thru the recent months of their project and come up with something they don't seem to have done, or have indicated struggling with... it could be a type of subject, a compositional technique, a particular camera setting, use of light, anything... as long as it is something they don't seem to have done, or done much of...
If you're paired with someone who appears very experienced and accomplished, give them a concept challenge - eg.: interpret a word (something a bit intangible like "silence", or "ambiguous"... not a thing like "animal" or "toy")...
Looking thru your partner's albums needn't take a lot of time... but it is very much appreciated when this effort is invested...
Explain what your challenge was when posting your shot. This helps the previous week's winner when they are choosing the week's finalists. And if someone is cruising the photos with a "get pushed" tag, they like to see what the challenge was when looking at your photo.
-- Saturday / Sunday Apr 4 and 5 - find your partner and issue a challenge
-- Monday Apr 6 thru Sunday Apr 12 - take a picture (or pictures) in response to the challenge issued to you, and post it with the tag: Get-Pushed-141, and comment on the photos taken in response to your challenge
-- Monday, April 13 - the winner of week 140 will pick 5 finalists for a vote
1. Find your partner from the list below and click on their name to get to their profile
2. Browse through the last couple of months of photos to get a feel for what they shoot and don't shoot etc.
3. Post an introduction on their last photo, and also issue the challenge you are setting.
RESPOND TO A CHALLENGE
4. You have until midnight next Sunday, to take and post your shot or shots.
5. When posting your shot WRITE A SHORT DESCRIPTION about
-- who challenged you,
-- what the challenge was,
-- what you found hard about it etc.
6. Make sure to tag your shot for the challenge.... Get-Pushed-140
7. Tag your challenger in a COMMENT (not just your write-up). You MUST tag your partner in a separate comment... tagging them in your write-up of your photo is not sufficient as it will not result in them getting a notification...
ALSO
8. it is nice to visit the photo that was made in response to your challenge and offer some comments and maybe even some constructive criticism...
9. On the Monday after the challenge is over, the winner of the previous week will pick 5 finalists for a vote, this can be based purely on their fav photos, who they felt best met the challenge etc, etc.
@thistle - @la_photographic is looking to be behind in her project, however, a couple weeks back she asked to be taken off the list as she was travelling, with the expectation of being back this weekend and wanting to play...
@northy still struggling with multiplicity on os elements 12. Will preservere, meanwhile done some toys, Easter light relief and one for Laura on "trouble" as she challenged me as well. May not get this multiplicity sorted in time. I can add in all photos, I can create the white mask, but when I try to paint over image it won't let me. Grrrr. One YouTube video said to,use the vignettes square that did nothing like the YouTube video when I tried it.
It fact it literally did nothing.
@northy Thanks Northy I'll wait and see if she contacts me. If she doesn't I'm happy to miss this week. I'll let you know what happens. Thank for all your help and organisation with this. As someone who is new to photography it really stretches me!
@neatz Anita... how many images are you working with?
step 1 - get them all in one file as layers in PSE
step 2 - in the layer palett on the right, click on the eye to the left of each layer... this will "hide" it...
step 3 - click on the eye for the bottom image to turn it back on
step 4 - click on the eye of the image just above the bottom one to turn it back on
step 5 - make the 2nd image active (click on it) then add a mask
step 6 - make sure the mask is active, now activate the brush tool (typing B should work), and make sure the colours on the bottom left are black and white... if they aren't, try pressing D... the black square on the left should be on top of the white square... if not, press X to reverse the order
step 7 - now paint on the mask with black over the bit where you want to reveal the image underneath... if needed, you can lower opacity so you can see where this is...
hopefully that works - once you have the first two images done, you can turn on the 3rd one and repeat...
@northy more dramas with mother in law, came back from our weekend break and been with her all day and same tomorrow. I will do this but need to stop for a second to unwind and eat now. New carer, refusing to take her dementia meds, psychotic bursts, falls, hysteria, drama you name it we have had it this week.
@homeschoolmom rats... ok... so far there isn't anyone else around looking for a partner... you can wait it out another day, or i can give you a push tonight :)
@neatz oh dear... sounds very frustrating... i can try to walk you thru it again, but not tonight i'm afraid, as i am prepping for a work thing that is happening early tomorrow morning... tomorrow night i would probably have more time...
kid, i am 2 pushes behind. i yet have to fulfill this and the last one. taxes are a bitch to pepare, ya knows? so, may i please ask you to not include me in the next one (#142). thanks very big! @northy
