English painter Joseph Mallord William Turner was known as "the painter of light"
He travelled Europe extensively and drew and painted watercolours of landscapes, sites and monuments.His work in a romantic style evolved towards a new daring pictorial Pre-Impressionist representation, in which the artist dissolves details of painted subjects into colored atmospheres.The new style of his oil works, so extraordinarily modern for his time, was not understood by his contemporaries who would judge it "delirious" .Forty years before Monet, Turner invented a different way of painting in which the main interest was in rendering atmospheres through colors.He got into the habit of using more and more brilliant colors in his paintings, critics made fun of his excessive use of "yellow" At his death he bequeathed some 20,000 images.
so the challenge is to get inspired by the work of J M W Turner, to try to emulate his style you will have to get creative with camera technique and processing or you can just use similar subject matter,

i think to be fair you should at least process and upload the thing during the time of the challenge, but especially if you are making a composite i would take a lenient approach :) @bernicrumb
@kali66 Thanks! Making a composite is what I'm thinking about doing, and I took a photo about 2 weeks ago that would be perfect for part of a picture for this challenge, along with another sky photo I took today. :-) We'll see how it works out!
